Hours and Calendar

V’là l’Bon Vent offers a full-day program in French for children aged 30 months old to 5 years old.

Our preschool is open on regular school days (Monday to Friday) based on the Rose-des-Vents calendar from 8:30am to 4pm with a mixed age group.

Parents or guardians are responsible for dropping off their children at preschool and picking them up at the end of class. 

Please note that the classroom opens at 8:30am and closes at 4:00pm exactly. Parents are asked to sign the attendance sheet at drop off and pick up, and to pick their children up on time.

An average day is structured as follows:

Morning

• 8:30-8:45: greetings
• 8:30-9:30: free play outdoor time (unless there is extreme weather)
• 9:30: snack
• 10:30: circle time and activities for the day
• 11:00: transition period / free play
• 11:45-12:30: lunch time
• 12:30-1:30: nap time or quiet time on mattress: quiet time is mandatory for all children for this hour.

Afternoon

• 1:30pm-2:00pm: games, puzzles, activity sheets for the kids that don’t nap. End of nap time is at 2pm for the ones that do nap.
• 2:00pm-3:00pm: outdoor play time (unless there is extreme weather)
• 3:00pm: afternoon snack, closing circle, music or dance, preperation to go home
• 4:00pm: end of day, pick-up time

2024-2025 Calendar

The preschool follows the Rose-des-vents school calendar. As such, the preschool is closed for the months of July and August, any pro-D days, as well as for the following holidays:

In case of snowstorm, our preschool will follow the same closure recommendations as Rose-des-Vents School. If you’re not sure whether the school is open or not, listen to Radio Canada’s Première Chaîne (97,7 FM) in the morning to find out which schools are open and which ones are closed.
