Our Staff

V’là l’Bon Vent preschool’s staff has extensive early childhood education training and work experience with children of that age group. Our teacher holds valid certificates in early childhood education as well as first aid.

If available, French-speaking substitute teachers stand in whenever our regular staff is ill, away or pursuing professional development opportunities. We always maintain the ratio of 10 children per teacher established for this program by Child Care Licensing, considering the size of our premises.

Occasionally, V’là l’Bon Vent Preschool might secure the help of interns or trained volunteers to participate in activities linked to our program. Interns or volunteers may be tasked with, among other things, helping prepare special activities or events, cleaning up after such activities, reading to children or accompanying the group during outings.

“My name is Karina Vaquero and I am from El Salvador. Born and raised in Montreal, I am fluent in French, English and Spanish. I started working with children since my arrival in Vancouver, in September 2014.

My experience with children between 30 months and 5 years old has allowed me to focus on supporting them in a respectful way in their daily journey.

Helping them increase their abilities and progress in their overall development made me realize that working with children is my passion.

Having talent in art and music, I like to teach songs to children, and I also find inspiration to create new ones. My artistic assets allow me to pass on my passion for painting, DIY, theatre, music and dance to children. As an educator, I have the opportunity to come and share my qualities, my skills and my assets with the children of the V’là l’Bon Vent preschool.”
